Horton Housing Group is made up of Horton Housing Association (HHA) as the parent, with subsidiary members Horton Housing Support Limited, Bradford Base Social Enterprise Company Limited and Chartford Housing Limited.
As the parent member, HHA’s Board of Management retains ultimate responsibility for the risk management and internal control systems of the Group.
HHA’s Board has constituted the Group Audit Committee to assist the Group’s Boards in fulfilling their oversight responsibilities for financial reporting and internal controls and for maintaining an appropriate relationship with the internal and external auditors.

Ernie has been Secretary of the Board of Horton Housing since 2006 and has also served as a member of the Chartered Institute of Housing Regional Board between 2009-12. He has considerable experience of working in complex political situations and of collaborative/partnership working.
Ernie is a housing professional with 38 years’ experience at strategic and operational levels in four London authorities and latterly Executive and Senior Management experience in the second largest housing authority in the UK.
Ernie has recently established Ernie Gray Consulting Ltd and can offer the skills and experience to provide leadership in developing and delivering creative solutions and quality results within timescale and budget.
Yvonne is Chief Executive of Johnnie Johnson Housing Trust. Previously Managing Director of YCChange
She has over 20 years’ experience in customer focus, managing change, developing business strategy, driving service and people improvement and motivating teams to perform. Yvonne has worked for many years in the housing sector and in local authorities always with a focus on improving services, people and businesses.
With strong commercial skills, she has worked in the private sector, both internationally and nationally. As a chartered accountant, her career first started in financial management, before moving into organisational change.
Whilst Yvonne is an expert in ‘hard’ business improvement methodologies, she is also a professional in ‘soft’ skills development, including coaching, mentoring, training and development.
Sally has been with Horton Housing since March 2009 as a board member and audit committee member.
She is a local Parish Councillor for Oakworth in Keighley Town Council, through which she became aware of one of our former services for teenage parents, MAPPS.
Sally has been a nurse, a manager and on various charity committees relating mainly to children, the elderly and vulnerable people for over 30 years.
Now in retirement she is actively participating in what is going on in her local area, hoping that the decisions made now can improve the future. Sally has two daughters and two grandchildren, who keep her on her toes.
Charlotte works as a Homelessness Service Manager for a Housing Society.
She began working in the field of homelessness for Bradford Council in 1986 and has moved throughout Yorkshire and Lancashire in similar work ever since.
Charlotte lives in Huddersfield with her daughter and her son, who is at Manchester University.
