Selby Community Cafés aim to improve the lives of vulnerable adults, aged 18 and over, who have mental health issues and are at risk of or experiencing social isolation.
The cafés are held weekly and fortnightly in community venues in Selby, Eggborough, Tadcaster, South Milford and Hambleton. Venues are wheelchair accessible.
Our community cafés provide informal learning sessions and activities in a safe and relaxed atmosphere.
Sessions include healthy eating, exercise, IT skills, mental wellbeing, crime prevention, arts and craft workshops. Many of the sessions are delivered in partnership with other organisations and are suitable for people with learning disabilities.
Funded by North Yorkshire County Council’s Innovation Fund (Your Consortium).
You don’t need a referral to access the community cafés. You are welcome to bring a carer or support worker with you to the sessions.
