We work flexibly to engage with people who are homeless, securing short-term accommodation and helping them to move into longer-term settled accommodation. We have two units of emergency accommodation (crash pads) that can accommodate people for up to three nights. We have 15 self-contained single person properties in various locations across Calderdale and Kirklees. Each resident has their own bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom; some properties have a study space. All properties are fully furnished and equipped. The service is available Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm. Support workers visit the properties twice a week (depending on the clients’ needs) and offer housing-related support. We support clients to develop the skills and gain confidence to manage their home independently. We run a drop-in for clients at our office based in Halifax. The service is open every Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm. Clients are given advice and support on housing, substance misuse, mental health, budgeting and training and employment. Our office has computers for clients to build their CVs, look for work and bid on properties. A meeting room and two interview rooms are also available. The accommodation is based in Halifax town centre. All accommodation is self-contained and fully furnished, including white goods. Housing management staff are available throughout the day, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. Night security staff are on site at some of our properties.
